La Maison d'Italie, also known as "Chez Carla", is a restaurant located on the island of Ngor in Dakar. To get there a crossing by canoe (6min) is necessary. This also gives even more charm to the setting foot in the water that offers us MAISON D'ITALIE. You will find a cuisine fusing Italian and Senegalese flavors.
We had the opportunity to go there for lunch.
As a starter, we went for pastels, incredibly succulent despite their small sizes (we are greedy).
As a main course, curry rice, disappointing on the taste of rice (aftertaste of burnt) but very good in cooking shrimp and seasoning curry sauce.
For dessert, FINALLY after several tests in the restaurants of Dakar we came across a real homemade chocolate fondant. Everything is there, taste, texture and presentation.
