La Trattoria da Alex, located in the Point E neighborhood of Dakar, is an Italian restaurant known for its warm ambiance and authentic cuisine. The setting is intimate, featuring wood-paneled walls and carefully curated decor that fosters a convivial atmosphere. The restaurant offers a varied menu, including pizzas, pasta dishes, grilled meats, and classic Italian desserts.
As for us, we had the opportunity to start with the "Revisited Caprese di Burrata." The presentation was excellent. Unfortunately, the burrata did not meet expectations (not creamy, more like mozzarella than burrata).
For the main course, the "Lasagne alla Bolognese" was expertly cooked, offering a perfect balance of meat, tomato sauce, and vegetables.
No surprises for dessert—being indulgent, we chose the tiramisu. If you haven’t tried it yet, hurry up and do so! The mascarpone used is of very high quality.
On the service side, we were attended by a new team member under the supervision of the manager. Congratulations to her on a promising start, despite a few minor oversights. The team seems united and competent.
